Lip Balm 101

As a lip balm addict, I could sit here and write about my favourite kinds of lip balm all day - I'm not going to do that though. Instead, I've complied a list of all of my favourites and must have lip balms which might save you a dry lip or 2.

I thought it was also worth mentioning that this list isn't in any particular order as I don't really have an ultimate fave lipbalm; I'd find it way too hard to choose considering that each one does different things depending on how bad my lips are.

1. Lanolips strawberry lipbalm

I adoooore this to pieces, may I just say. It's super thick formula may sound slightly off putting at first but once you blend it into you lips, it's moisturising capabilities quite literally shine through and leave your lips looking uber glossy.

Also from this brand, the lanolips 101 ointment and lemonaid lipbalm are among the things I've tried. I need to get more into the lemon balm as I'm not to biggest fan of the scent so don't tend to use it anymore.

2. Kiko lipbalm

Ok so for a stick option, this is amazing, nourishing and easy to whip out and use. The only downside that I can think of is that I need to apply it more often than my other lip balms but this seems to be a general rule with most stick balms (Plus I probably reapply way more frequently than I need to anyway, but I'm an addict, what can i say?)

3. Glossier Birthday balm dot com

An absolute delight; this dreamboat lipbalm smells of vanilla birthday cake, as the name would suggest. My first one became faulty and all the glitter peeled off the tube so I reached out to Glossier who very kindly sent me another, which me and my clumsy self had for about a week before losing it. I then bought 2 more because, well I just can't be tamed. Nevertheless, this lippie is the most delish smelling and tasting (oops) thing I've ever put on my lips. Would highly recommend.

That being said, I'd like to point out that I'm just recommending the birthday one as this is the only balm from Glossier I love to bits - I also own the original, coconut and berry and I use them too but they just aren't the same.

4. Lush Lip Service

Shout out to Aims for telling me to get this lip balm cos it's bloody fantastic. It can be a little greasy if you apply too much but it melts into your lips so nicely and blends really well. I keep this in my bedside table usually.

5. Burts Bee's

Available in a range of fruity scents, this au-natural balm is something you should definitely consider picking up next time you head into boots. Although I was a little sceptical at first, every time I have owned one of these, I've loved it. I've never been a massive fan of minty scents that leave your lips tingling so I do always opt for one of the more fruity flavours in a bid to avoid this. Whenever I use Burts Bee's, my lips feel nice and I never feel the need to apply loads which is a plus.

6. Nyx Hemp Lip Oil

Okay so I literally only bought this balm last month and I'm already out - in fact, I can't even show you a pic at this current moment in time because I ripped the labels off the empty tube (yes, I am that bitch) As a lover of the Nyx butter glosses, I thought they'd do a mighty fine job at tackling a lip treatment and boy was I right. If you want something super glossy, moisturising and pretty much scentless, this one's ya girl.

Please let me know what your fave lip balm is - I will most definitely buy it and use it, oops.
